DJA Engineering Services

DJAES provided us with funding for shop expenses to enable our team to learn and grow! This company provides electrical engineering services and design and automation services from the P&ID stage to commissioning. DJAES is a reliable and trustworthy resource for Alberta’s oil and gas industry.


Because of Encana’s generous sponsorship, we were able to buy tools for our team to help manufacture and assemble our robot! Encanna is one of the leading natural gas companies in North America, at the same time recognizing the importance of building and maintaining strong communities.


 Alberta Women’s Science Network

With the amazing donation from the Alberta Women’s Science Network, they have enabled us with enough funding to buy our team our own official laptop! This wonderful organization is all about promoting women in STEM related careers, just like our team!


Nalco Champion

Nalco Champion helped us to acquire safety supplies through their donation, and for that we are very grateful! Nalco Champion is a skilled company that provides chemical compounds for water services, the food and petroleum industry.


Alberta Safety Council

The Alberta Safety Council provided our team with access to coursework to help us build our safety program. They supported our quest to develop a SECOR-equivalent program. Alberta Safety Council trains and raises awareness around safety in the home and workplace, pursuing their goal in keeping Alberta safe.


Area 51 Machine Design

Area 51 Machine Design provided our team with space to work, as well as mentors to help us in the designing and building of our robot. Based in Calgary, Area 51 specializes in designing and prototyping for a variety of industries, including many projects which are top-secret.

QSine Corporation Limited

QSine provided our team with a space to build and fabricate our robot, as well as mentors to help us in the welding and fabrication of our robot. At QSine, they use precision fabrication, welding and machining to produce high quality parts and products.

Calgary Board of Education

Through the Career and Technology Centre, the Calgary Board of Education provided us with space to meet, build and test our robot. The Career and Technology Centre, situated in the Lord Shaughnessy High School, provides students with career-focused courses and curriculums. Examples of courses provided include: Pre-Engineering, Welding and Fabrication and Media Design.

Schulich Community Robotics Program

The Schulich Community Robotics Program provided us with not only space to work, and wonderful mentors for our team. They have also provided us with outreach opportunities to help out younger kids interested in robotics.


Solidworks provided us with programs for us to use to design and build our robot. They have allowed us to expand our knowledge in computer design and provided us with the opportunity to 3D print and prototype for our robot.


 Metro Design Group

Metro Design Group has helped us in our logo and graphics design ideas for our first FLL team, the Smiley Emoji Unibears, as well as for the Intimitrons ourselves. This creative company specializes in graphic design and related fields.


Women Engineering the Future

The Intimitrons are very grateful to Women Engineering the Future for providing us with an opportunity to host a booth at the upcoming Women in Engineering Expo. We are looking forward to working with empowering and talented women who enjoy science and engineering as much as we do.
